Music

I'm a big music lover, of a wide variety of music genres. From classical to hiphop to electronical music, I can find songs that I like from any style that I know. But I never thought of it as a potential career path.

Coding

Although I've been working in IT for more than a decade now, my love for programming languages only sprouted relatively recently. For my work the focus was more on connectivity and networks, infrastructure and hardware. Early 2019, I started to dabble a bit with Python and liked it. After that, my interest shifted over to web development and I took on HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Traveling

I've always loved to travel, whether in my own personal time or for work. Working for many years in the military and NGO sector, I've seen many places and contexts that most people don't get to experience. But I also enjoy traveling to secure vacation destinations, for the culture, beautiful nature, or great food.

Quotes

Wise words can hold a lot of power. Good quotes can be surprisingly effective to give strength or insight when needed. Here's an example of one that helped me and that I cherish.

Nature

Just as inspiring as good quotes can be, so can nature lift us up. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy city life too. But roaring seas, vast deserts, lively jungles, deep green forests or majestic waterfalls can really put things in perspective.
